SDK Version 1.2.0
The 1&1 IONOS Python SDK is a Python library used for interacting with the 1&1 IONOS platform over the REST API.
This guide will show you how to install and configure the 1&1 IONOS library so that you can use it to perform common management tasks also available through the 1&1 IONOS Control Panel.

The Python Client Library wraps the latest version of the 1&1 IONOS REST API. All API operations are performed over SSL and authenticated using your 1&1 IONOS API Token. The API can be accessed within an instance running in 1&1 IONOS or directly over the Internet from any application that can send an HTTPS request and receive an HTTPS response.
Before you begin you will need to have signed up for a 1&1 IONOS account. The credentials you create during sign-up will be used to authenticate against the API.
The Python Client Library is available on PyPi. You can install the latest stable version using pip:
$ pip install 1and1
Connecting to 1&1 IONOS is handled by first setting up your authentication.
from oneandone.client import OneAndOneService client = OneAndOneService('API-TOKEN')
You can now use
client for any future requests.
