Setting up Microsoft Exchange® 2019 on an iPhone or iPad

For Microsoft Exchange 2019 and iPhone / iPad iOS version 11 or higher

With Microsoft Exchange 2019, you can access all your email, calendars, contacts, reminders and notes right on your mobile devices.

Requirements

  • An active Microsoft Exchange 2019 account.
  • An iPhone or iPad with iOS version 11 or higher - Due to an error in earlier versions, the Microsoft Exchange connection cannot be established with older iOS versions. If you are still using iOS 6.1.1 or an earlier iOS 6 version, please update your device.

Guided Steps

  • Go to the settings  of your iPhone or iPad.

  • Select Passwords & Accounts. Now you can add a new account.

  • Select Exchange as the account type.

  • Enter your Microsoft Exchange 2019 data:

    • Email: The full email address of your Microsoft Exchange 2019 account

    • Password: The password you entered when you set up Microsoft Exchange 2019.

    • Description: Enter a description for your account here. This information is only used to better distinguish the account from other accounts after it has been set up in the mail app.

  • Tap Continue. Your device now checks whether a connection can be established. You will then be prompted to enter additional data:

    • Server: exchange2019.ionos.co.uk

    • Domain: Please leave this field empty.

    • Username: The full email address of your Microsoft Exchange 2019 account.

    • Password: The password you entered when you set up Microsoft Exchange 2019.

  • Tap Next.
  • Select which data (mail, contacts, calendar, reminders, notes) you want to synchronise and tap Save.

Your Microsoft Exchange 2019 account has sucessfully been set up on your iPad or iPhone.
