For Microsoft Exchange 2013 and Microsoft Outlook for Windows
Learn how to easily set up your Microsoft Exchange 2013 account in Outlook using the Outlook Configurator.
Requires one of the following Microsoft Outlook versions:
- Outlook 2007 SP3 with cumulative update from November 2012
- Outlook 2010 SP1 with cumulative update from November 2012
- Outlook 2011 for Mac
- Outlook 2013
- Outlook 2016 (Windows or Mac)
Log in to the Exchange Administration Tool with your Microsoft Exchange 2013 email address and password.
Go to the Outlook Configuration section and click Downloads & Configuration.
Save the file Outlook Configurator for your version of Outlook. Then run the Configurator.
Enter your Microsoft Exchange 2013 email address. Select Automatic Setup (recommended) and click Continue.
Confirm the success message with OK.
Outlook now starts automatically. From the Profile Name drop-down box, select your Microsoft Exchange 2013 email address and click OK.
In Outlook 2016, the welcome screen will display. Click Next.
When asked if you would like to set up Outlook to connect to an email account, select Yes and click Next.
Enter Your Name, your E-mail Address. Enter your Password twice and then click Next.
If you receive a warning, tick the box to not warn you in the future and click Allow for the email setup to be downloaded automatically using the autodiscover settings.
Enter your password again in the pop-up window and click OK.
Once Outlook has completed verifying the setup, click Finish.
Once you are connected to the Exchange server, you will see Connected to: Microsoft Exchange at the bottom-right of Outlook.
Outlook will then synchronize your Microsoft Exchange 2013 account for the first time. This can take several minutes, depending on how many emails, calendars and contacts are stored in your account, as well as your internet connection speed.
