To manage the resources of projects hosted on a Server, proceed as follows:
Activate the desired Server.
Click Manage Resources.
Define the resource allocation method for the particular project:
Minimum: If you select the Minimum resource allocation method, the minimum amount of resources is allocated to the project's services. If you use this method, the allocated resources are not automatically adjusted. You also cannot adjust the allocated resources manually . This resource allocation method is suitable for temporary projects, test projects or development projects.
Custom: If you select Custom as the resource allocation method, you can choose the amount of resources allocated to the project's services. You can define the number of CPUs, RAM, and the maximum number of instances available. If you allocate two instances to the project, the load distribution is scaled horizontally. The first instance remains permanently active. Once the load exceeds a certain value, it is distributed between the first and the second instance.
Automatic: If you select Automatic as the resource allocation method, all resources that are not yet used by other projects with the Minimum or Custom allocation method are allocated to the project's services. These resources are distributed as needed among all projects on the same server that have the Automatic resource allocation method.
The limit above which the load is distributed between the first and second instances is definded automatically and cannot be changed.
If you select Custom as the resource allocation method, resources are permanently allocated to the project's services. These resources therefore cannot be used by other projects on the same server. The allocated resources are not changed automatically. If your project needs additional resources, you must allocate them manually.
To assign the Automatic resource allocation method to all projects, click the Reset to Automatic link at the bottom of the screen.
Click Save Resource Changes.
To apply the changes immediately, click Save & Apply Now. To apply the changes later, click Save & Apply Later.
