Autoscaler automatically adjusts the size of your cluster to the requirements of the workload to be run. If autoscaling is activated but the resources necessary to run a new pod are insufficient, Kubernetes automatically adds a new node to your existing cluster. The costs of the added nodes are charged by the minute. If a node in your cluster is underutilized and its pods can be run on other nodes, Autoscaler will automatically delete it. The maximum number of nodes can be specified during the installation of Autoscaler. After Autoscaler has been installed, you can configure it using Kubernetes. If necessary, you can deactivate Autoscaler without any downtime on your cluster.
