Installing the Kubernetes Dashboard

The Kubernetes dashboard is a web-based graphical user interface. You can use the dashboard, for example, to deploy containerized applications in a Kubernetes cluster, search for errors in containerized applications and manage the cluster.

Prerequisites:

You have created a cluster in the Cloud Panel.

You are logged in to the client computer as an administrator.

You have installed Kubernetes.

Step 1

To install the Kubernetes dashboard, enter the following command:

sudo kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kubernetes/dashboard/master/src/deploy/recommended/kubernetes-dashboard.yaml
Step 2

Establish a proxy connection to your cluster:

kubectl proxy
Step 3

To open the dashboard, enter the following URL in your browser:

http://localhost:8001/api/v1/namespaces/kube-system/services/https:kubernetes-dashboard:/proxy/

You can find more information about the dashboard here.
