For Dedicated Server administered in the Cloud Panel.
The virtualisation support is a free feature that can only be activated during server creation.
If you activate virtualisation support, the server can communicate with the Internet using any number of Mac addresses. In addition, you can manually install and configure a Type 2 hypervisor (other than Hyper-V) on the server to create virtual machines. This type of hypervisor is software that runs as an application on an operating system. The hardware resources are requested from the host operating system and accessed via the hardware.
Examples of type 2 hypervisors are:
Due to Microsoft's license terms it is currently not possible to use Hyper-V as a hypervisor.
To use the virtualisation support, you need a Dedicated Server of the following type:
When you create a virtual machine, you might need to configure the network settings manually. This is necessary, for example, if you assign multiple IP addresses to the Dedicated Server and you want to assign one specific IP address to your virtual machine.
