IONOS is expanding its product portfolio to include dedicated servers with the scalable fourth-generation Intel® Xeon® processors. IONOS was one of the Intel Xeon CPU launch partners presented by Intel in January 2023.
“We are one of the first hosting providers to install Intel’s latest chip generation in data centres and offer it to our customers. For anyone who values high CPU performance, this is a competitive advantage,” says Patrick Schaudel, Head of IONOS Products.
Accelerators are the key feature
The fourth generation Intel Xeon has built-in accelerators for applications such as artificial intelligence, analytics, networking, security, memory performance and high-performance computing. By enabling offloading and optimal use of core CPU resources, the integrated accelerators result in more efficient use and less power consumption. Compared to previous generations, customers benefit from a 2.9x improvement in average performance per watt for certain workloads due to the built-in accelerators.
The new server offerings also support the innovative DDR5 RAM architecture, which offers more performance for professional applications due to higher bandwidth.
At launch, IONOS customers have a choice of HDD and SDD/NVMe storage:
