Installing the HiDrive app (Windows/Mac)

Installing the HiDrive app on a PC or Mac is an easy way to synchronise files between your computer and HiDrive cloud storage. This article explains how to do it.

Notes

HiDrive is also available for use with iOS and Android.

Installing HiDrive on a Windows PC

Please note that you may need administrator rights on your computer to install or uninstall software.

Open the HiDrive web app in your browser.
Click on Download HiDrive > Windows Software in the footer bar.
After the download is complete, start the installation by opening the downloaded .exe file. The installation wizard will guide you through the next steps.

Installing HiDrive on an Apple Mac

Please note that you may need administrator rights on your computer to install or uninstall software.

Open the HiDrive web app in your browser.
Click Download HiDrive > macOS Software in the footer bar.
After the download is complete, start the installation by opening the .DMG file. The installation wizard will guide you through the next steps.

Uninstalling from Windows or Mac

Always use your PC or Mac system utilities to completely and safely remove HiDrive and its data:

Windows: System Settings > Add or Remove Programs
Mac: Finder > Programs > Move to Trash
