This Help Centre article informs you which data is processed by the IONOS Online Shop product.

The following information is only valid for the Online Shop product in the "Base" and "Now" versions. You can find the version of your Online Shop in your shop administration as a footer in the help section (e.g. "Version: X.XX.XX - ePages Base" or "Version: X.XX - ePages Now"). If you use software or services from external providers, additional data may be processed. The use of such software is your responsibility. Please understand that we cannot provide you with any information about the data processing of external providers.
Is tracking or logging activated by default?
Each time a page is accessed, the web server automatically documents a server log file containing the name of the requested file, the anonymised IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (usage data). This data is used exclusively for the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of the website and making improvements. This serves to safeguard legitimate interests in the correct presentation of the site. All usage data is deleted no later than seven days after the end of the visit.
For what purpose is the data collected?
It is ensured that only the minimum amount of personal data of customers visiting the Online Shop required for business transactions is processed.
What personal data is collected from website visitors?
The inventory data of the website visitor is stored in the event of an order.
How long is the retention period for the different types of personal data?
All usage data is deleted no later than seven days after the end of the visit. Personal data of merchants/order data is stored as long as the shop is in operation.
Is data passed on to third-party providers?
No, data is not passed on to third-party providers.
Is data processed outside the European Union or the European Economic Area?
No, the data is not processed outside the EU or the EEA.
The following cookies are used
- ShopInit: tests whether the browser accepts cookies.
- SessionID: saves the session data, language, currency, shopping basket, and current orders. It also recognises returning registered customers.
- epagescookielawcookie: checks whether the cookie usage notice has already been confirmed by the visitor (optional function).
