Upgrading from CDN Basic to CDN Pro

Valid for Web Hosting.

You can upgrade from CDN Basic to the Pro version at any time. With the upgrade, you benefit from unlimited traffic, and unlock additional features such as the Web Application Firewall (WAF) and extended security functions. In this guide, we will show you how to perform the upgrade directly in your IONOS account.

Requirements

  • You have a hosting contract with IONOS.
  • You have already activated CDN Basic for your domain.

Note

If your CDN Basic has been temporarily locked due to repeatedly exceeding the bandwidth limit, it will be automatically unlocked again by the upgrade.

Perform upgrade

  • Log in to your IONOS account.
  • Click on Menu > Hosting in the title bar.
  • Optional: If you have several hosting contracts, select the contract for which the CDN is activated.
  • Click on Manage in the CDN tile. You will be redirected to the CDN overview.
  • Click on the three dots next to the desired CDN to open the action menu.
  • Select Upgrade to Pro from the menu. The order page will open.
  • Agree to the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) by ticking the corresponding checkbox.
  • Finalise your order by clicking on Buy now.

The upgrade to CDN Pro will now be carried out. The process may take a moment.
