This article explains how to deactivate two-factor authentication (2FA) at IONOS, e.g. because you have lost your smartphone.
Requirement
To deactivate two-factor authentication, you must have the recovery code that you received when setting up the authenticator app or IONOS Mobile App.
Reset two-factor authentication
Enter your IONOS customer number and your recovery code in the IONOS “2-Step Verification” online form. This will remove the two-factor authentication. You can find out how to set up two-factor authentication again in the following Help Centre articles:
