Setting up legal texts

To ensure that your online shop is legally compliant, you must include your General Terms and Conditions (GTC), your right of withdrawal and a privacy policy. In this article, you will learn how to set up these legal texts, and where you can find suitable sample texts.
Configure legal texts
Select Settings > Legal texts in the menu. A new page will appear where you can download the e-commerce law guidelines. In the document you will find information on legal principles as well as legally compliant sample texts.
- To inform your customers about your business and contractual terms and conditions, enter the GTC text that is appropriate for your company form and country in the Terms and Conditions section.
- To inform your customers about the cancellation options, enter the Right of withdrawal policy that is suitable for your company and your country. You can set up your right of withdrawal policy to be automatically inserted as a PDF file in order status emails (see Help Centre article "Automatically attach right of withdrawal notices to emails").
- To inform your customers about the use and storage of personal customer data, enter the Privacy policy text that is appropriate for your company and country.
Click on Save to save your entries.
