Website builders: Overview of export options

For technical reasons, website projects created with a website builder from IONOS cannot be used outside the IONOS infrastructure. This article explains how you can still export content.
Note
When moving your website, check the scope of any licenses used, e.g. for images from the IONOS image pool. As a rule, these licenses are not transferable.
Export via web browser
- Open the desired website in your Internet browser.
- Click on File in the menu, or right click on the page.
- Select Save page as.
- Select Website, complete (*.htm, *.html) as the file type.
- Assign a file name and save the page.
- Repeat this process for each page you want to save.
Export with the HTTrack program
HTTrack is free software that allows you to create a website copy on your computer. All files, such as images and embedded documents, are also transferred. Internal links between pages are automatically updated for use on your computer.
