Email programs at a glance
An email program – also known as an email client – allows the user of an email address to access their email inbox in order to receive, read, write, send, and organise messages. In addition, an email program allows you to create your own folders and name them as you wish. Email programs are installed locally on a device such as a PC or a Mac.
Well-known email programs include Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Apple Mail. You can configure these email programs for mailboxes with any provider.
To access your emails, you must enter the email address and password for the mailbox during the configuration process.
