Changing an IONOS Email Account Password

For Hosting Packages with Mail Basic or Mail Business

If you have forgotten your email password, you can use the steps below to assign a new one.

These instructions only apply to the IONOS account holder. If you have a IONOS email address but do not manage the account in which it was created, contact your email administrator.

Guided Steps
  • Log in to IONOS.
  • Click on the email  tile. If you have multiple packages, you must first select the corresponding package in which the email address is located.
  • In the line of the email address concerned, click on the gear symbol under the Actions column and then on Change password.
  • Enter your new password.
  • Click Change password.

Your new password will now be activated. This may take a moment.
