Changing IONOS account password

This article explains how to change your IONOS account password.
Notes
Please note that this article requires a successful login to your IONOS account. In the event of a lost password, first read the article Resetting your IONOS account password.
If you have created a fixed phone PIN and reset the password for your IONOS account or set a new password, the fixed phone PIN will be deactivated. To continue using the fixed phone PIN, you will need to create a new one afterwards. Alternatively, you can use the automatically generated, temporary phone PIN for requests. This will be displayed when you click on the speech bubble icon in the top right corner of your IONOS account.
Perform password change
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- Click on the user icon in the top right of the menu bar.
- Click on the Login & account security from the menu that drops down.
- Click on Change password.
- Enter your new password.
For security reasons, you will be logged out of your IONOS account after changing your password. You can then log in again immediately with your new password.
