Nextcloud Workspace: Exporting data

Valid for Nextcloud Workspace.

This article walks you through exporting your Nextcloud Workspace data from IONOS.

Nextcloud Workspace does not have a central location from which you can export all your data at once. Different types of data, such as email addresses or calendar entries, must be exported separately.
The relevant apps, such as Calendar, must be active for you to be able to export data.

Log in Nextcloud Workspace .
In the top-right corner of the Nextcloud Workspace menu bar, click the ⋮⋮⋮ (app menu) icon > Files. All the files and folders you have saved on Nextcloud Workspace will be displayed.
Click on the square next to the files and folders you want to select.
Click on Download above the file list.
Note: Depending on your screen dimensions, you may have to click … (actions) icon > Download.
The selected items will be downloaded to your local computer as a single ZIP file.

The app menu icon is highlighted in the Nextcloud Workspace menu bar.

Log in to Nextcloud Workspace.
In the top right-hand corner of the Nextcloud Workspace menu bar, click on the circle icon with your profile photo or the first letter of your username. The sub-menu will open.
Select Accounts. The user overview will open.
Find the user information you require and copy it manually into a document of your choice.

You must be logged in as an administrator to view other Nextcloud Workspace users.

Log in to Nextcloud Workspace.
In the Nextcloud Workspace menu bar at the top right, click the ⋮⋮⋮ (app menu) icon > Contacts. The Contacts overview will be displayed.
Click the Contacts Settings button in the bottom left-hand corner. The Contacts settings window will appear.
Click on Address Books from the left-side menu.
Click the … (three-dot) menu to the right of the address book you want.
Click Download to save the selected address book as a vcf file on your local computer.

Log in to Nextcloud Workspace.
In the Nextcloud Workspace menu bar at the top right, click the ⋮⋮⋮ (app menu) icon > Calendar. The calendar overview will be displayed.
Hover your mouse over the name of the calendar you want on the left-hand side under Calendars, and click on the ✎ pencil icon that appears (Edit and share calendar). Additional calendar information will be displayed.
Click on Export to save the address book as an ics file on your local computer.

Please note that the database in which Nextcloud Workspace stores its information cannot be exported.
