Switching to another hosting package

Your IONOS web hosting package can usually be extended or reduced (upgraded or downgraded). This allows you to improve performance, or save money on unused resources. This article provides information on how to change packages in your IONOS account.
Requirements
- The target package must be part of the current product portfolio.
- The switch must take place within the same product category.
Carry out package change
- Log in to the IONOS account.
Click Menu > My account in the title bar. The My account page opens.
- Click on the Contracts & subscriptions tile. The Contracts & subscriptions page opens. This page displays an overview of your contracts and the additional services you have booked.
- Click on the contract you want to change to view the details.
- Click on the Display contract change options link in the Details tab. The page Your custom contract change options is displayed. This page provides you with an overview of the available target packages
- Select the desired package to continue with the package change, or to find out more about the associated conditions.
- Click on Switch to this planto make the package change binding and follow the rest of the order process.
The package change will be carried out automatically. You will receive all important information about your new package by email.
Note
A package change is only possible for contracts. It is not possible to change packages for additional products or additional domains, which are also listed on the Contracts & subscriptions page.
