IONOS accepts the following payment methods:
- Direct Debit
- Credit & Debit Cards
You can view your invoices at any time right in the My Account > Invoices & Payment Details section of your IONOS account. Funds are withdrawn 2-5 business days after the invoice date.
- It is important that you do not initiate a payment directly from PayPal as the payment may not be properly allocated to your account.
- We recommend having a valid credit or debit card attached to the PayPal account assigned to your IONOS account.
- As of 01/08/2022, invoices for private customers are no longer sent as attachments in emails by default for data protection reasons. As of 1/12/2022, this also applies for business customers. In both cases, you will be sent an email notification containing a link that will take you to the invoice overview in your IONOS account. There you can then download the desired invoice(s).
Once credit card details are submitted, a test charge or phantom charge is applied to your card, and then immediately voided. This is standard practice to verify that the card is active and usable. If the card is declined by our system, please contact your card issuer or bank for more information. IONOS does not receive any specific information on why a card may be declined.
