Valid for IONOS Dedicated Servers that are managed in the Cloud Panel.

This article explains how to export data from your IONOS Dedicated Server via the Cloud Panel.

Note

There is no separate export function for some of the data listed below for your dedicated server. You can export this data, for example, by copying and pasting into a text document, or saving as a PDF using the print function of your web browser.

In some cases, data can be backed up or exported via IONOS Cloud Backup. The Help Centre article “Cloud Backup: Standard Features and Paid Add-ons” gives you an overview.

Log in to the server administration (Cloud Panel)

  • Log in to your IONOS account.

  • Click Menu > Servers & Cloud in the title bar.

  • Select the desired Server & Cloud contract. The Cloud Panel opens.

The Cloud Panel is the starting point for all subsequent instructions.

Information about the server

In the Cloud Panel, click on Infrastructure > Servers. A list of the servers created is displayed. Select the desired server. The detailed information on this server is displayed:

  • Login data: IP address, user, initial password
  • DNS: Host name
  • Image: Source and operating system
  • IP address data
  • Configuration: Type, CPU, RAM, storage disk(s)
  • Bandwidths
  • Firewall policies
  • Private networks
  • Backup
  • Monitoring policies
  • Data centre regions and availability zones
  • Creation date

Export is possible by copying and pasting or as a PDF via the print function of your web browser.

Server images

In the Cloud Panel, click on Infrastructure > Images. A list of created images is displayed. Images are copies of your entire server with all settings and programs at a certain point in time.

Images can only be exported with IONOS Cloud Backup.

Block Storage and Shared Storage

In the Cloud Panel, click on Infrastructure > Block Storage or Shared Storage to display the allocation of storage space to your servers. Block Storage is additional storage space that you assign to one of your servers. Shared Storage is additional storage space that can be used by multiple servers.

Detailed information on block and shared storage:

  • Creation date

Additionally for shared storage:

  • CIFS path

  • NFS path

Firewall policies

Click on Network > Firewall policies to list the rules created for your server's firewall.

Load balancer

In the Cloud Panel, click Network > Load Balancers to list the load balancers you have created, and their settings. Load balancers distribute incoming data traffic across multiple servers to prevent overload, and improve performance and availability.

Public IPs

In the Cloud Panel, click on Network > Public IP to list the internet addresses of your servers.

Click on Network > Private Network or Public Network to list the networks created in each case, and their settings.

VPN

In the Cloud Panel, click Network > VPN to display the VPN connections you have created to securely connect your computers and servers.

In the Cloud Panel, click on Security > Monitoring Policies to display a list of the policies created.

In the Cloud Panel, click on Security > SSH key to display all created SSH keys.

In the Cloud Panel, click on Security > Backup Package to view details of your backup solution. The links and user data for the backup consoles (Europe, USA) are listed in the Management > Backup Administration section. Logs

In the Cloud Panel, click on Management > Logs to display log entries for a freely definable period.

Detailed information logs:

In the Cloud Panel, click on Management> Users to display the users you have created.

Usage and interactive billing

Click on Costs > Usage in the Cloud Panel to view the usage for your server.

In the Cloud Panel, click on Costs > Interactive Invoice to display billing that has already been created. Alternatively, you can also display the costs already incurred for the current billing period.
