With a virtual private network (VPN), you can create a secure SSL encrypted connection between a local PC and your cloud servers.
Please note: For technical reasons, you can only establish one connection to your cloud servers via VPN. If you want to establish multiple VPN connections at the same time, you must configure a VPN connection for every local PC.
In the Network > VPN section, all the VPNs are listed in a table. The most important information on the individual VPNs is included in this table:
Name: the name assigned to the VPN. You can change it at any time.
Status: the current VPN status.
Typ: the type of VPN.
Data center: Data center to which a secure connection is established.
To access all the information about the relevant VPN, click the name of the private network. The list includes the following additional information:
IP: the IP address assigned to the VPN.
ID: the VPN’s ID.
Date of creation: the date the VPN was created.
Please note: To use the VPN, you have to install the OpenVPN software on the local PC and then configure it. In the Access section, you can download a zip file with the necessary configuration files.
The History section lists the most recent actions that were performed for the selected VPN.
