Scheduling email campaigns to send at the best time

This article explains how you can use AI to send campaign emails at the best time to increase chances of your message being read, and the success of your campaign.
Details on scheduled sending
If you use the Send emails at the best time option, your campaign emails will be delivered as follows:
Within 24 hours of the start time
Between 6 AM and 10 PM
Open Email Marketing
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- Click on the tile Menu > Online Marketing > Email Marketing. The IONOS Email Marketing opens.
Obtain extended consent
In order for your campaign to be sent with the help of AI, the recipients must agree to the extended data protection provisions:
Double opt-in: The recipient receives an email that must be explicitly confirmed so that it can be sent to them from Email Marketing.
Individual user tracking: Additional consent in the double opt-in email, through which the individual reading behaviour of the recipient is recorded.
Extended advertising consent for new recipients
Click on Recipients in the Email Marketing menu.
Select a list or create one using the Create new list button.
Click on the Add recipient button in the list and fill in the data for the new recipient.
Under Permission, activate the option Send Double OptIn mail to the recipient to gather advertising permission.
Click on Save to finalise your entries and send the double opt-in email.
In the double opt-in email, the new recipient has the option of giving their consent with or without individual tracking.
Extended advertising consent for existing recipients
Click on Recipients in the email marketing menu.
Select the desired recipient from one of the existing lists.
In the drop-down list under Permission, select the option Permission contains consent for single recipient tracking.
Click on Save to finalise your entries.
Please note that you should not activate this option without the actual individual tracking permission of the recipient.

Activate scheduled sending
- Click on Campaigns in the Email Marketing menu.
- Click on an existing campaign that has not yet been sent (status: Draft). If there is no draft, create a new campaign as described in the Help Centre article "Creating an email campaign".
- Click on the Schedule button in the top right-hand corner of the campaign. Please note that this button is only active once the Subject, To, Sender name, and From Email fields have been filled in.
- Select a start time for your campaign in the Date field.
- Activate the Send emails at the best time slider.
- Confirm the scheduled sending by clicking the Confirm scheduling button.
Sending can be cancelled before the set date by moving the date further into the future. If sending has already started, it can no longer be interrupted.
The maximum number of emails you can send in your campaign depends on your selected Email Marketing package.
