For Virtual Servers, Cloud Servers, and Dedicated Servers (Managed in the Cloud Panel)
In the following cases, you need to change the Plesk activation code on the newly created server in the Plesk license settings:
You have duplicated a cloud server with Plesk Obsidian installed in the Cloud Panel.
You have created a new cloud server using an image of another server that contains Plesk Obsidian.
You have created an image of a server on which Plesk Obsidian is installed. You used this image in Cloud Panel to restore another server.
You created a full backup of a virtual server, cloud server, or dedicated server and restored this backup to a new server.
When you duplicate a cloud server or use an image of another server in the Cloud Panel to create a new server, a new Plesk activation code is automatically created for this new server and deployed to the Cloud Panel.
If you have created a full backup of a virtual server, cloud server, or dedicated server and restore this backup to a new server, the new Plesk activation code will not be automatically provided in the Cloud Panel. In this case, please contact Customer Support.
To change the activation code in Plesk Obsidian, follow the steps below.
You cloned a server on which Plesk Obsidian is installed.
You installed a server over an image that includes Plesk Obsidian.
- You enabled port 8443 in the firewall policy assigned to the server.
You have already configured Plesk Obsidian.
Finding the Plesk Obsidian Activation Code
Log in to the Cloud Panel.
In the Infrastructure > Servers section, select the desired server.
Scroll down and click Plesk Obsidian (Unlimited Domains) in the Licenses section.
Make a note of the Plesk Obsidian activation code.
In the Plesk License Key tab, click Install Key.
Enter the activation code.
The Plesk Obsidian license key is updated.
