Please use the “Print” function at the bottom of the page to create a PDF.
Valid for Cloud Servers and migrated Cloud Servers, which are managed in the Cloud Panel.
You can reassign a block storage to another Cloud Server at any time. Please note that you may have to adjust the disk configuration in your operating system after assigning the block storage. Complete the following to assign a block storage to another Cloud Server:
Requirement
You have not combined the block storage with a boot partition into a single drive.
Note
If you have combined the boot partition and the block storage into one volume, and assign the block storage to another Cloud Server, inconsistencies may occur in the file system, meaning that the relevant server may no longer be accessible.
- Log in to your IONOS account.
Click on the Servers & Cloud tile. If you have multiple server contracts, select the desired contract.
Click on Infrastructure > Block Storage in the navigation bar on the left.
Select the desired block storage.
Click on the pencil icon in the Assigned to: line. A window opens.
In the window, select the server to which the block storage is to be assigned.
Click on Save changes.
The change is then displayed in the Cloud Panel.
