Creating a Shared Storage

Shared storage is a hard disk that can be connected to multiple Server hard disks for sharing the use of storage. By doing this, everyone with access to the Server has common access to the same data.

To create shared storage:

Prerequisites

You are in the Infrastructure > Shared Storage section of the Cloud Panel.

  • Click Create above.

  • Enter a name.

  • Use the slider or the buttons to set the size of the shared storage.

  • Select the desired data centre.

Shared storages must be set up separately for each data centre. Example: If you have set one up in a US data centre, you can only assign it to a shared storage hosted in the same data centre.

  • Click Create.

The shared storage will now be created. This process usually only takes a few minutes.

You must then set the server access permissions.
