The available services are provided by a virtualization layer in the kernel of the host system. This makes it technically impossible to install your own kernel, kernel modules and Windows updates on the Virtual Server.
Necessary updates are automatically installed on the host system by our system administration after checking for compatibility with the Virtuozzo virtualization technology. By installing Windows updates on the server all IONOS Windows Virtual Servers are automatically updated.
The package information of your Virtual Server remains unchanged.
When you carry out manual updates, especially those of a Microsoft Service Pack, the Virtual Server can no longer be booted after a restart.
