If you can no longer use the two-factor authentication, e.g. because you have lost your smartphone, you can reset it. To do this, you will need the recovery code that you generated during the setup in the Authenticator app or IONOS mobile app.

Resetting Two-Factor Authentication

  • On this page, enter your IONOS customer ID and your recovery code.
  • Log in to your IONOS account.
  • Click My Account > Login & Account Security > Two-Step Verification in the title bar.
  • Set up the two-factor authentication again.
