A new podcast #DriveDigitalSuccess from IONOS is taking a look behind the scenes of Formula 1, focused on the technology that plays a crucial role in the performance of F1 racing. The podcast interviews guest experts, gaining insight into the world of F1 while exploring the role that IT, Big Data and the Cloud play in racing. To set the scene, in the first episode Uralkali Haas F1 team principal Günther Steiner explains how a Formula 1 racing team is structured.

Future episodes will be released biweekly and upcoming conversations will discuss how an F1 car is designed, the role of data in F1 and what needs to be considered when developing a Formula 1 tyre.

Chris Medland#DriveDigitalSuccess will be hosted by British motorsport journalist Chris Medland, who has been covering Formula 1 races around the world for broadcast, print and online media for many years.

“#DriveDigitalSuccess is not my first podcast,” says Chris Medland. “But even after many years of covering Formula 1, I’m still learning about completely new facets through conversations about the Cloud, Big Data and other tech aspects.”

Hosting alongside Chris is Mandy Carter, Head of Marketing for IONOS in the UK, who will help explain the role technology plays behind a modern racing car.

Mandy Carter points out, “With #DriveDigitalSuccess, we can show how naturally a cloud provider, like IONOS, and a Formula 1 team work collaboratively. Thanks to our partnership with the Uralkali Haas F1 team, our podcast offers insights that even Formula 1 fans rarely get.”Mandy Carter

IONOS has been the official cloud partner of the Uralkali Haas Formula 1 team, with drivers Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin, since March 2021.

#DriveDigitalSuccess is produced by the Berlin agency digital kompakt. “Releasing a podcast together with IONOS and Uralkali Haas F1 is a real passion project for us as Formula 1 fans. Above all, we are united by the topic of speed: IONOS stands for fast, successful digitisation, the Uralkali Haas F1 team lives and breathes real speed on the tracks, and digital kompakt enables its listeners to experience acceleration in their own further development in its own podcast,” added digital kompakt creator Joel Kaczmarek, describing the collaboration.
