Implementation of the EU Data Act at IONOS
Please use the “Print” function at the bottom of the page to create a PDF.
The EU Data Act allows customers to export their existing data, e.g. to switch to another provider. This article gives you a general overview of the EU Data Act, and provides instructions on how to export data from IONOS products.
Note
Legal information on the implementation of the EU Data Act can be found in the IONOS General Terms and Conditions.
General information
IONOS relies on open standards and interfaces, which greatly simplifies data export for you. You can also carry out the data export in the respective product yourself. This allows you maximum flexibility in terms of time and, if necessary, customised control of output formats or scope. The exported content is immediately and securely available without any detours.
Please note that IONOS can only provide very limited support for imports at the future location where the data will be used. Please check and test your importing protocols in advance.
Data export for cancellations and deleted data
- Please note that it is no longer possible to export data if a cancellation for the corresponding product has already taken effect. You can find out how to cancel a cancellation in the Help Centre article "Revoking a cancellation request".
- Data that you have deleted, e.g. databases or website projects, cannot be restored for export unless the product explicitly offers this option.
Please Note
As soon as a cancellation has been regularly completed, the data is no longer available for export.
Rights of use and licenses: No export possible
Please note that usage rights or licenses made available to you as part of an IONOS product cannot be exported.
