Navigation menus guide visitors to your MyWebsite Now project through your website. This article explains how to create the navigation for your online project.
Calling up the MyWebsite Now editor
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- In the title bar click on Menu > Websites & Shops.
- Click on Manage website in the tile with the name of your online project. The Presence Suite for this project opens.
- In the left menu bar of the Presence Suite, select Website > Website Editor. The MyWebsite Now Editor opens in a new window.
Create standard navigation
A standard navigation is created from the page structure that you have defined via the MyWebsite Now menu item Pages. The Help Centre article "Managing pages" explains how to do this. The default navigation can only contain pages from your MyWebsite Now project.
To select a default navigation:
- Click on Contents in the menu bar of the MyWebsite Now website editor.
- In the detailed view of the header or footer, move the mouse pointer over the top right-hand corner of the navigation element until the Manage and Design buttons are displayed.
- Click on Manage > Default. The default navigation is used.
No navigation menu is displayed
No navigation menu for switching between the pages of your web project is displayed in your website project.
- In the website detail view, move the mouse pointer over the top left-hand corner of a header or footer until the Header options or Footer options are displayed.
- Click on the displayed Header options or Footer options button.
- Activate the eye symbol displayed in the Elements > Navigation tab. It must not be crossed out.
- Click on the Done button to save your changes.
