This article explains the processes involved in moving your website to MyWebsite Now, the website builder from IONOS.
Please note that MyWebsite Now is a product specially optimised for ease of use and simplicity. For this reason, MyWebsite Now does not come with complicated import functions, and relies on basic procedures such as "copy & paste" to transfer existing content.
Note
With the help of artificial intelligence (AI) from IONOS, it's also simple to completely rebuild your website. The Help Centre article "Creating entire websites with artificial intelligence (AI)" will help you get started, and explains how you can easily create texts, images, and search engine optimisation (SEO) with AI.
Create a copy of the previous website
Save your previous website locally on your computer so that you can access the content at any time. You can do this in the following ways:
- Page by page via your Internet browser: Select Menu > Save page as, or Ctrl+S in most browsers. Select Web Page, complete (*.htm, *.html) as the file type.
- Export with the HTTrack programme: HTTrack is free software that allows you to create a website copy on your computer. All files, such as graphics and embedded documents, are saved. Internal links between content pages are automatically adapted for use on your computer.
Please note that you only save the view that a visitor will see when accessing your website. Database content or apps with special tasks are not transferred.
Open MyWebsite Now in the IONOS account
- Log in to your IONOS account.

Transferring content management systems
