Step-by-step installation guide

1

Start the WordPress installation

Get your WordPress project up and running quickly and easily. Once you've purchased a Managed WordPress package, choose the “Start your web project” option on the confirmation page. Go to the contol panel to begin your WordPress setup.

2

Add a title and your login details

Decide what to call your website and enter it under “Title”. Next, enter the login details (a username and password) that you'll use to access your WordPress blog. Tips for creating a strong password to ensure your blog is secure will be provided.

3

Select manual updates or Managed WordPress

If you would like to manage the WordPress installation and take care of plugins and updates yourself, select “Continue with WordPress”. Alternatively, with “Managed WordPress” we will take care of all the important plugins and updates for you. You'll have access to the setup assistant either way.

Done! We’ll take care of the rest

The IONOS Setup Assistant will install the WordPress instance and automatically set up any necessary databases. A WordPress user profile is created for you and your language preferences are set. The Setup Assistant also connects the domain you select with your webspace directory.

You can also carry out the WordPress instance installation manually, or perform a local installation.

Log in and get started

You can log in to your WordPress page via “Edit Website”, using the login details you chose earlier.
