If you’re using an older PHP version for your website that’s no longer supported by the PHP community, and you find it challenging to update the version due to time constraints or lack of expertise (code adaptation, script testing, and website migration), our Extended Support offers a flexible and convenient alternative for you. With IONOS, your website can continue to run safely and stably despite using an older PHP version.

We will notify you in advance if your website is using an outdated PHP version and offer to move you to our PHP Extended Support. You have the flexibility to switch to the latest PHP version in your customer account whenever you like. You can make this version change either before PHP Extended Support starts or afterwards. If you update to a new PHP version afterwards, you can cancel Extended Support at the same time.
